Imputing Not Iniquity - Psalms 32:2

In Psalms chapter thirty two David said, “Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered”, and in chapter thirty two and verse two David said, “ Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity” where we read,

Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile.

The verse begins, Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputes not iniquity, ... David began with the words, “Blessed is the man” which means “ O how happy exists the person whether male or female” “whom the LORD” or “that Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “imputes not iniquity” which means “does not account, reckon, value, esteem or regard perversity, depravity, guilt, punishment or consequence for mischief and moral evil”. David said the person for whom Jehovah God does not account and reckon the mischief and evil are “O how happy”.

The verse goes on to say,... and in whose spirit there is no guile. David continued with the words, “and in whose spirit” or “and within the mind, vivacity, vigor and courage of the person who commits evil” “there is no guile” which means “there exists not any laxness, slackness, deceit or treachery”. David wrote that a person who has no deceit or treachery within their heart, mind and being are also “blessed”.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David knew he became a “blessed” or “O how happy” man when he knew Jehovah God did not account and reckon his sin unto him, and because of this, David's conscience was clear. David loved God, but he was a sinful man. He knew Jehovah God was the reason he could be set free from the penalty of sin, and he could live guilt free because of Him. This is why God sent His Son Jesus into the world. God knows the sins of everyone, and Jesus died for all of them. When we submit ourselves to Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, cleanse our conscious and grant us everlasting life with Him. (See 1 John 1:9) Praise be unto Jehovah God and Jesus Christ His Son for liberating us from the penalty and guilt of sin and of the clear conscious with which we may live.

Next time David says, When I kept silence, my bones waxed old, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
