In Psalms chapter twenty-nine David said, “The voice of the LORD divides the flames of fire. The voice of the LORD shakes the wilderness; the LORD shakes the wilderness of Kadesh”, and in chapter twenty nine and verse nine David said, “The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve”, where we read,
The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve, and discovers the forests:
and in his temple doth every one speak of his glory.
The verse begins, “The voice of the LORD makes the hinds to calve, and discovers the forests:” David began with the words, “The voice of the LORD” or “the sound and noise of proclamation and thunder belonging to Jehovah who is the exiting One and the proper name for the One True God” “makes the hinds” which means “twists, whirls, writhes, trembles and dances the doe and deer” “to calve” or “to dance, twist, tremble and whirl”, “and discovers” which means “and strips, makes and lay bare” “the forests” or “the woods, thickets and wooded heights”. David said Jehovah God's “voice” causes the doe and deer to dance and writhe around and the woods to twist and tremble.
The verse continues, “and in his temple does every one speak of his glory.” David added the words, “and in his temple” or “and within his, Jehovah God's, palace, nave or sanctuary” “does every one speak” which means “does each, every, the whole and all people utter, declare and proclaim” “of his glory” or “pertaining to his, Jehovah God's, honor, abundance, riches and splendor”. David shared how Jehovah God's “voice” causes people within His “sanctuary” to declare His honor, abundance, riches and splendor”.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through David how Jehovah God's “voice” causes doe and deer to dance around, and it reveals and makes bare the woods and thickets. This causes people within His “sanctuary” to declare His splendor, honor and abundance. God is to be recognized and known by everyone, and He declared Himself by sending His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world. Anyone who believes and trusts in Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life. We have an opportunity to know Jehovah God and His powerful “voice” which will transform every person who hears Him and receives His Son Jesus as their “Savior and Lord”.
Next time David says, “The LORD sits upon the flood”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
