Seed of His Servants Shall Inherit It - Psalms 69:36

In Psalms chapter sixty nine David said, “Let the heaven and earth praise him, the seas, and every thing that moves therein. For God will save Zion, and will build the cities of Judah: that they may dwell there, and have it in possession”, and in chapter sixty-nine and verse thirty-six of Psalms David said, “the seed also of his servants shall inherit it” where we read,

The seed also of his servants shall inherit it: and they that love his name shall dwell therein.

The verse begins, “The seed also of his servants shall inherit it:” David began with the words, “the seed also” or “the offspring, children or descendants even so and indeed” “of his servants” which means “belonging to his, Jehovah God's, slaves, worshipers and bondmen” “shall inherit it” or “will be allotted, possess and acquire Zion and the cities of Judah”. David said the descendants of the bondmen of Jehovah God would acquire and possess “Zion” and the “cities of Judah”.

The verse goes on to say, “and they that love his name shall dwell therein.” David continued with the words, “and they that love his name” or “and the people who have affection for his, Jehovah God's, fame, reputation and faithfulness” “shall dwell therein” which means “will live, abide, reside and settle down within Zion and the cities of Judah”. David included people who have affection for Jehovah God's name in the inheritance of “Zion” and the “cities of Judah”.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David ended this Psalm by sharing how the people of Judah would inherit “Zion” and the “cities of Judah”, and he included anyone who “loves” the “name” of Jehovah God. God wants everyone to live with Him forever, and He sent His Son Jesus to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Jesus rose from the grave three days later, and now everyone who believes and trusts in Him will be forgiven of their sins, granted everlasting life with God and inherit Jehovah's possessions according to His Divine will. Let us give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus for bringing salvation, rescue and inheritance to all who will receive Him.
