In Psalms chapter forty eight David said, “Let mount Zion rejoice, let the daughters of Judah be glad, because of your judgments. Walk about Zion, and go round about her: tell the towers thereof. Mark you well her bulwarks, consider her palaces; that you may tell it to the generation following”, and in chapter forty eight and verse fourteen of Psalms David said, “this God is our God for ever and ever” where we read,
For this God is our God for ever and ever: he will be our guide even unto death.
The verse begins, “For this God is our God for ever and ever:” David began with the words, “For this God” or “because, since and on account that this Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “is our God” which means “exists as our, David and his fellow believers', Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “for ever and ever” or “for long duration, continuous existence, perpetual and everlasting”. David said Jehovah God who is the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God was he and his fellow believers' Divine judge perpetually and unto continual existence.
The verse continues, “ he will be our guide even unto death.” David added the words, “he will be our guide” or “he, Jehovah God the Divine judge shall exist as our, David and his believing companions, conductor and leader” “even unto death” which means “until the time of the separation of the spiritual body from the physical body”. David said Jehovah God the Divine judge would be his and his companions leader and conductor till the end of their lives.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David recognized the Divine judge as their own “God”, and that He would lead them throughout their entire lives. God desires to be the “Divine judge” of every person through His Son Jesus, and when we submit to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. Let us give praise, honor and glory to “God” who is “our God” and who will lead and direct us unto the day of our death and throughout all eternity.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Hear this, all you people”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
