The Heavens Declare God's Righteousness - Psalms 50:6

In Psalms chapter fifty Asaph said, Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather my saints together unto me; those that have made a covenant with me by sacrifice”, and in chapter fifty and verse six of Psalms Asaph said, “He shall call to the heavens from above” where we read,

And the heavens shall declare his righteousness: for God is judge himself. Selah.

The verse begins, And the heavens shall declare his righteousness:” Asaph began with the words, “and the heavens” or “and the visible sky, atmosphere and universe” “shall declare his righteousness” which means “will make known, expound, publish and proclaim his, Jehovah God's, justice, rightness, equity and prosperity”. Asaph said the sky, atmosphere and universe proclaim the rightness, justice and prosperity of Jehovah God.

The verse continues, for God is judge himself. Selah.” Asaph added the words, “For God” or “because, since and on account that the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “is judge himself” which means “exists as governor, vindicator and punisher His, Jehovah God's, own self”. “Selah” or “lift up, exalt and pause to meditate upon it”. Asaph declared Jehovah God to be His own governor and vindicator, and anyone reading his words should pause and meditate upon this idea.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how Asaph referred to the sky and universe proclaiming the justice and rightness of Jehovah God because He is the governor, ruler and vindicator for mankind. All those reading Asaph's words should pause and meditate upon them. We only have to consider the sky above us to know the wonder and amazement of Jehovah God. He is the Creator of the universe and mankind. Man separated themselves from God through sin, (See Genesis 3) and because God wanted people to live with Him forever, He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of everyone. Now when we believe and trust in Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. Let us yield to the “righteous” God and believe in His Son Jesus to live with Him forever.

Next time Asaph says,Hear, O my people, and I will speak, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
