In Psalms chapter forty nine David said, “Hear this, all you people; give ear, all you inhabitants of the world: Both low and high, rich and poor, together”, and in chapter forty nine and verse three of Psalms David said, “my mouth shall speak of wisdom” where we read,
My mouth shall speak of wisdom; and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding.
The verse begins, “My mouth shall speak of wisdom;” David began with the words, “My mouth” or “my, David's, orifice for speaking and eating” “shall speak of wisdom” which means “will utter, declare and proclaim pertaining to cognitive content and ability to employ knowledge”. David said he would use his speech to disseminate wise cognitive content.
The verse goes on to say, “and the meditation of my heart shall be of understanding .” David continued with the words, “and the meditation” or “and the utterance and musing” “of my heart” which means “belonging to my, David's, inner man, mind, will, soul, understanding, thinking, reflection, memory, inclination, resolution, determination and seat of emotions and passions” “shall be of understanding” or “will be intelligent, skillful, insightful and with discretion”. David said the musing of his soul would be filled with intelligence and discretion.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we discover how David desired those listening to him to hear his wise words and to know the musing of his soul. David loved Jehovah God, and God loved him. David wanted everyone to know about Jehovah God, and because God desires the same, He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Everyone is invited to receive Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”, and when we receive Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to honor and praise Him throughout eternity.
Next time David says, “I will incline my ear to a parable”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
