In Psalms chapter sixty eight David said, “Ascribe you strength unto God: his excellency is over Israel, and his strength is in the clouds”, and in chapter sixty-eight and verse thirty-five of Psalms David said, “O God, you are terrible out of your holy places” where we read,
O God, you are terrible out of your holy places:
the God of Israel is he that gives strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.
The verse begins, “O God, you are terrible out of your holy places:” David began with the words, “O God” or “O Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”, “you are terrible” which means “you, Jehovah God, exist as awesome, to be awed, feared and reverenced” “out of your holy places” or “from your, Jehovah God's, sacred sanctuary and sanctified tabernacle”. David declared Jehovah God the Divine judge to be awesome and to be feared and awed within His sacred tabernacle.
The verse goes on to say, “the God of Israel is he that gives strength and power unto his people. Blessed be God.” David continued with the words, “the God of Israel” or “the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God belonging to Israel whose name means God prevails and was the name of the descendants and nation of the descendants of Jacob” “is he that gives strength” which means “exists as he, Jehovah God, who bestows, puts, sets, produces and provides power, might and ability” “and power” or “and posture, capability and capacity” “unto his people” which means “toward his, Jehovah God's, human beings both male and female”. “Blessed be God” or “praised, saluted and adored exists the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. David said Jehovah God provides might, power and ability to His “people”.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David concludes this Psalm by referring to the awesomeness of Jehovah God within His sacred sanctuary, and he attributes all might and ability provided to his “people” to be from Him. David declared that Jehovah God is to honored and adored because He takes care of His own, and when He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of the world, He provided the way for us to be forgiven of our sins and granted everlasting life. Let us realize from where our might and ability comes, and join with those who honor, adore and glorify Jehovah God and His Son Jesus.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Save me, O God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
