Bringing Again from Bashan - Psalms 68:22

In Psalms chapter sixty eight David said, He that is our God is the God of salvation; and unto GOD the Lord belong the issues from death. But God shall wound the head of his enemies, and the hairy scalp of such an one as goes on still in his trespasses”, and in chapter sixty-eight and verse twenty-two of Psalms David said, “the Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan” where we read,

The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea:

The verse begins, The Lord said, I will bring again from Bashan, ... David began with the words, “The Lord said” or “Adonay or the reverent Master uttered, declared and proclaimed”, “I will bring again” which means “I, Jehovah God, will return and come back” “from Bashan” or “separate and apart from Bashan whose name means fruitful and was a district east of the Jordan known for its fertility which was given to the half-tribe of Manasseh”. David declared Jehovah God's words that He would return from the district east of Jordan named “Bashan”.

The verse continues,... I will bring my people again from the depths of the sea: David added the words, “I will bring my people again” or “I, Jehovah God, shall return and carry back my, Jehovah God's, human beings both male and female” “from the depths” which means “separate and apart from the bottom and deep place” “of the sea” or “belonging to the large bodies of water such as the Red, Dead and Mediterranean Seas”. David referred to Jehovah God's declaration that He would carry His “people” separate and apart from the deepest parts “of the sea”.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see through David how Jehovah God made a declaration that He would carry His people back not only from the area of “Bashan”, but also from the deepest parts “of the sea”. In other words, God would rescue His people from many areas. God loves people all over the world, and His desire is to save them from the penalty for sins which is death. He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and He will rescue and deliver every person who believes and trusts in Him as their personal “Savior and Lord”. God wants to rescue us, and when we surrender to Him, He will deliver us regardless of how far away we are.

Next time David says God's, “foot may be dipped in the blood of your enemies”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
