In Psalms chapter forty eight David said, “Great is the LORD, and greatly to be praised in the city of our God, in the mountain of his holiness. Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King”, and in chapter forty eight and verse three of Psalms David said, “God is known in her palaces” where we read,
God is known in her palaces for a refuge.
The verse begins, “God is known in her palaces ...” David began with the words, “God is known” or “the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God exists as perceived, seen, discerned, discriminated, distinguished, recognized, acknowledged and confessed” “in her palaces” which means “within her, the city of Jerusalem's, citadels, fortresses and castles”. David said Jehovah God, who is the Divine judge, is recognized and acknowledged within the city of Jerusalem's citadels and castles.
The verse goes on to say, “... for a refuge.” David continued with the words, “for a refuge” or “as high places, secure heights, retreats and strongholds”. David said Jehovah God was understood in Jerusalem's castles and citadels to be high places, secure heights and strongholds of security.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see through David how Jehovah God is well recognized within the citadels and castles within Zion or Jerusalem. In other words, He dwells among His people and makes them secure. God desires to be the security and safety of every person, and He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind so they could be forgiven and inherit everlasting life with Him. Let us give praise, glory and honor to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus for providing an eternal “refuge” through their loving gift of grace to us.
Next time David says, “the kings were assembled”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
