In Psalms chapter forty six David said, “There is a river, the streams whereof shall make glad the city of God, the holy place of the tabernacles of the most High. God is in the midst of her; she shall not be moved: God shall help her, and that right early”, and in chapter forty six and verse six of Psalms David said, “the heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved” where we read,
The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved: he uttered his voice, the earth melted.
The verse begins, “The heathen raged, the kingdoms were moved:” David began with the words, “The heathen raged” or “the nation or people who were usually non-Hebrew or Gentles murmured, growled, cried aloud, mourned, made noise and were clamorous and disquieted”, “the kingdoms were moved” which means “the sovereignties, realms and dominions tottered, shook, slipped and were overthrown”. David said people who were non-Hebrews cried aloud and were clamorous, and their sovereignties and dominions tottered and shook.
The verse continues, “he uttered his voice, the earth melted.” David added the words, “he uttered his voice” or “he, the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God Jehovah bestowed, employed, consecrated and dedicated his, Jehovah God's, noise, sound and proclamation”, “the earth melted” which means “the whole land, country, territory, district, region and world dissolved, dissipated and disappeared”. David said Jehovah God make a proclamation and the entire world dissolved.
When we consider the words in this verse, we see through David the power within the “voice” of Almighty God. With His word, He created the world, (See Genesis 1) and with one word He could dissolve it. (See Revelation 21) Jehovah God is all-powerful, and yet, He desires to have a personal intimate relationship with every person who will believe and trust in His Son Jesus. God sent Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind, and when we submit to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and accompany us through His Holy Spirit all the days of our lives. There is no power like the power of Jehovah God, and we choose best when we align with Him as the One who made and can destroy the universe.
Next time David says, “the LORD of hosts is with us”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
