In Psalms chapter forty seven David said, “God is gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet”, and in chapter forty seven and verse six of Psalms David said, “Sing praises to God” where we read,
Sing praises to God, sing praises: sing praises unto our King, sing praises.
The verse begins, “Sing praises to God, sing praises:” David began with the words, “Sing praises” or “make music with voices and musical instruments” “to God” which means “ toward the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”, “sing praises” or “make music with voices and musical instruments”. David instructed His readers and listeners to make music with their voices and musical instruments toward the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God who is Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “sing praises unto our King, sing praises.” David continued with the words, “sing praises” or “make music with voices and musical instruments” “unto our King” which means “to our, David and his fellow believers', Royal ruler”, “sing praises” or “make music with voices and musical instruments”. David repeated His instruction to “sing praises” to Jehovah God who is the Royal ruler of the universe.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David desired that the people reading and listening to His words to “sing praises” to Jehovah God as though to join in with the celebration as He ascends. God loves people, and He is worthy of the praise, honor, glory and singing of every person in the world. He sent His Son Jesus to be crucified for the sins of all mankind, and when we submit to Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. Let us join David's exhortation and “sing praises” to the Divine judge Jehovah God who is the “Royal Ruler” and the One who sent His Son Jesus to be the “Savior” of the world.
Next time David says, “God is the King of all the earth”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
