A New Song in My Mouth - Psalms 40:3

In Psalms chapter forty David said, “I waited patiently for the LORD; and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry. He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings”, and in chapter forty and verse three of Psalms David said, “he has put a new song in my mouth” where we read,

And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God:

many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD.

The verse begins, And he has put a new song in my mouth, even praise unto our God: David began with the words, “and he has put a new song” or “and he, Jehovah God, has set, given, bestowed and granted a fresh lyrical and religious musical” “in my mouth” which means “within my, David's, orifice in the face used for eating and speaking”, “even praise unto our God” or “indeed a hymn of a adoration, thanksgiving and laudation toward our, David and his fellow believers', Divine judge, ruler and supreme God”. David said Jehovah God gave him a fresh lyrical musical which included adoration and thanksgiving to Him.

The verse goes on to say, many shall see it, and fear, and shall trust in the LORD. David continued with the words, “many shall see it” or “and abounding, numerous and great number of people will observe, behold and look at the song of praise given to David”, “and fear” which means “and revere, be afraid and stand in awe”, “and shall trust” or “and will be confident, bold and secure” “in the LORD” which means “within Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”. David said a numerous amount of people will observe his song of praise and adoration of Jehovah God, be in awe and have confidence and faith in Him.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how Jehovah God gave David a fresh musical interlude whereby he gave adoration and thanksgiving to Him. God wants people to give Him praise and honor, and when they do, they will be blessed by Him. God gave His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world, and when we submit to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and make us witnesses as to why people should believe and trust in Jesus. God loves us, and He will provide not only a new song in our hearts, but also transform us to be like His Son Jesus so others will believe and be saved.

Next time David says, blessed is the man that makes the LORD his trust, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
