Blessed Be the LORD God - Psalms 41:13

In Psalms chapter forty one David said, “By this I know that you favor me, because my enemy does not triumph over me. And as for me, you uphold me in my integrity, and set me before your face for ever”, and in chapter forty one and verse thirteen of Psalms David said, “Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting” where we read,

Blessed be the LORD God of Israel from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.

The verse begins, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel ... David began with the words, “Blessed be the LORD God” or “adored, praised and saluted be Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God who is the Divine ruler, judge and Supreme God” “of Israel” which means “belonging to Israel which means God prevails and is the name given to Jacob by God after his wrestling with the angel at Peniel (See Genesis 32)”. David adored and praised Jehovah God who belonged to the nation of “Israel”.

The verse continues, “... from everlasting, and to everlasting. Amen, and Amen.” David added the words, “from everlasting” or “from the point of long duration, antiquity, futurity and perpetuity”, “and to everlasting” which means “and toward long duration, continuous existence, futurity and perpetuity”. “Amen” or “verily, truly and so be it the truth”, “and Amen” which means “and verily, truly and so be it the truth”. David shared how Jehovah God was to be praised and adored from antiquity to the continuous existence of mankind, and he desired for it to be so and be so.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how David concluded this Psalm with praise and adoration to Jehovah God whom he knew cared for him in the midst of his adversaries. God is to be worshiped and adored by everyone, and because He desires to have a personal relationship with every person, He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die for the sins of all mankind which separated them from Him. When we receive Jesus Christ as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and accompany us with His Holy Spirit to guide us into all truth. For all eternity those who believe and trust in Jesus will give Him praise, honor and glory, and the time to do so will never end. Let it be so! Let it be so!

Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say,As the hart pants after the water brooks, so pants my soul after you, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
