The LORD's Preserving and Keeping - Psalms 41:2

In Psalms chapter forty one David said, “Blessed is he that considers the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble”, and in chapter forty one and verse two of Psalms David said, “The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive” where we read,

The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth:

and you will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.

The verse begins, The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: David began with the words, “The LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God” “will preserve him” which means “shall watch over, guard, observe and give heed to the person who considers the poor”, “and keep him alive” or “and shall sustain, quicken and restore to life the person who considers the poor ”; “and he shall be blessed” which means “and the person who considers the poor will exist as O how happy” “upon the earth” or “on the country, ground, territory, region and world”. David said Jehovah God would watch over, guard and preserve the life of the person who “considers the poor”, and that person will be “O how happy” as they live in the world.

The verse goes on to say,and you will not deliver him unto the will of his enemies.” David continued with the words, “and you will not deliver him” or “and you, Jehovah God, shall in no way set, grant, permit, ascribe, devote and consecrate him, the person who considers the poor” “unto the will of his enemies” which means “to the soul, self, life, creature, appetite, mind, living being, desire, emotion and passion belonging to his, the person who considers the poor's, hating adversaries and foes”. David said Jehovah God would not permit the person who considers the poor to be handed over toward the appetite and desire of their hating adversaries.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David recognized the preservation, sustaining and blessing that would be given to the person who “considers the poor”. Jehovah God watches over the lives of people who have committed themselves to Him through His Son Jesus. God loves people, and He “considered” their lowly eternal condition and sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of everyone. When we receive Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. God will preserve anyone who yields to His Son Jesus, and though people rise up against them, Jehovah God will not deliver them into their hands.

Next time David says,The LORD will strengthen him upon the bed of languishing, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
