In Your Majesty Ride Prosperously - Psalms 45:4

In Psalms chapter forty five David said, “Gird your sword upon your thigh, O most mighty, with your glory and your majesty”, and in chapter forty five and verse four of Psalms David said, “in your majesty ride prosperously” where we read,

And in your majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness;

and your right hand shall teach you terrible things.

The verse begins, And in your majesty ride prosperously because of truth and meekness and righteousness; David began with the words, “and in your majesty” or “and with your, Jehovah God's, ornament, splendor, honor and glory” “ride prosperously” which means “mount up, dispatch and advance upon a horse in a successful and profitable way” “because of truth” or “since and on account of that which is firm, faithful, sure, reliable and stable” “and meekness” which means “and humility, condescension, gentleness and mildness” “and righteousness” or “and justice, rightness, deliverance, victory and prosperity”. David appealed to Jehovah God to mount up and advance in a victorious and prosperous way while equipped with His faithfulness, gentleness and rightness.

The verse continues,and your right hand shall teach you terrible things.” David added the words, “and your right hand” or “and your, Jehovah God's, right hand of authority, power and might” “shall teach you” which means “will pour out, shoot, cast, lay and give instruction” “terrible things” or “fearful, awing and reverent actions, deeds and attitudes”. David beckoned Jehovah God to use His “right hand” of authority and power so others would be instructed by His awe-inspiring deeds.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David desired that Jehovah God come to His defense, and He employed the idea of God riding a horse into battle with His character in tow. God is to be honored, glorified and worshiped because He dwells in faithfulness, gentleness, rightness and victory. He sent His Son Jesus to the world to be crucified for the sins of everyone, and therein He defeated the penalty of sins which is “death” so that all who believe and trust in Him may be saved. God desired to forgive the sins of everyone who surrenders their life to His Son Jesus, and when we humble ourselves, repent of our sins and come to Him, He will forgive us, grant us everlasting life and accompany us with His Holy Spirit to overcome all difficulties, afflictions and enemies that arise. Let us give Him praise, honor, glory and worship for His provision for us and to everyone who yields to Him.

Next time David says,your arrows are sharp in the heart of the king's enemies, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
