The Heart of Her Husband Safely Trusts - Proverbs 31:11

In the book of Proverbs Lemuel asked, “Who can find a virtuous woman? For her price is far above rubies”, and in chapter thirty one and verse eleven of Proverbs King Lemuel said, “the heart of her husband does safely trust in her”where we read,

The heart of her husband does safely trust in her,

so that he shall have no need of spoil.

The verse begins, “The heart of her husband does safely trust in her, ...” Lemuel began with the words, “the heart” or “the soul, mind, will, desires, living being, conscience and seat of emotions and passion” “of her husband” which means “belonging to her, the virtuous woman's, male spouse” “does safely trust in her” or “has confidence and security within her, the virtuous woman”. Lemuel said the soul of the husband of the “virtuous woman” is secure and confident with her.

The verse goes on to say, “... so that he shall have no need of spoil.” Lemuel continued with the words, “so that he shall have no need” or “indeed he, the virtuous woman's husband, will in no way or manner be without, diminished and lacking” “of spoil” which means “in plunder, booty, prey and gain”. Lemuel said the husband of the “virtuous woman”will not lack for any gain. 

When we meditate upon Lemuel's words in this verse, we learn how the “husband” of the “virtuous woman” is blessed with provision because of her ways. He doesn't lack in any supply, and this special quality is within this woman. God loves people, and He provides for everyone especially through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us the ability to provide for others like He does through the “virtuous women”.

Next time Lemuel says, “she will do him good and not evil”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
