Redeem Israel, O God - Psalms 25:22

In Psalms chapter twenty-five David said, “Let integrity and uprightness preserve me; for I wait on you”, and in chapter twenty five and verse twenty-two of Psalms David said, “Redeem Israel, O God” where we read,

Redeem Israel, O God, out of all his troubles.

The verse begins, Redeem Israel, O God, ...” David began with the words, “Redeem Israel” which means “rescue, ransom and deliver Israel whose name means God prevails and was the name of the descendants and the nation of the descendants of Jacob”, “O God” or “O Divine ruler, judge and Supreme God”. David asked Jehovah God to “rescue and deliver” “Israel” from the following.

The verse goes on to say,out of all his troubles.” David continued with the words, “out of all” or “separate and apart from each, every, the whole and everyone of” “his troubles” which means “his, Israel's, straits, distresses and vexations”. David asked Jehovah God to deliver “Israel” from each and every one of their distresses and vexations.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David transitioned from an appeal to Jehovah God on his own behalf to that of His country “Israel”. “Israel” was experiencing many difficulties and distresses, and David called upon Jehovah to deliver them. God loves people, and He loves nations. He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the whole world. This includes individuals and nations, and everyone is invited to receive Him as their personal “Savior and Lord”. When we submit to Jesus, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him in Heaven, and we align with His plan to save the nations when we commit ourselves and our countries unto Him.

Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Judge me, O LORD; for I have walked in my integrity:, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
