The Earth is the LORD'S - Psalms 24:1

Psalms chapter twenty-four begins with the heading, [[A Psalm of David.]] which breaks down, “A Psalm” or “a melody of a poem set to notes and played with a musical instrument” “of David” which means “belonging to David whose name means blessed and was the second king of Israel”, and in chapter twenty four and verse one of Psalms David said, “The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof” where we read,

The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.

The verse begins, The earth is the LORD'S, and the fullness thereof; ” David began with the words, “The earth” which means “the land, country, territory, region and world” “is the LORD'S” or “exists as Jehovah's who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “and the fullness thereof” which means “and the entire contents and everything that fills the world”. David said Jehovah God owns the world and everything that is within it.

The verse continues, the world, and they that dwell therein.” David added the words, “the world” or “the entire earth or globe”, “and they that dwell therein” which means “and the people who live, abide and inhabit the world”. David wrote how Jehovah God possesses not only the entire “world”, but also every person who lives within it.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through David that Jehovah God owns everything. He created it, and no one else actually possesses anything. In other worlds, it's all His. This is the marvel of God because He shares it with people all over the world. He desires a personal and intimate relationship with everyone through His Son Jesus, and when we yield to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will give us more and more of what He owns. God loves us, and His desire is to bless us not only with physical blessings, but also with spiritual blessings as well. Let Jehovah God be praised for owning everything and being willing to bless people with that which He possesses.

Next time David says, “he has founded it upon the seas, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
