From God's Presence - Psalms 17:2

In Psalms chapter seventeen David prayed, “Hear the right, O LORD, attend unto my cry, give ear unto my prayer, that goes not out of feigned lips”, and in chapter seventeen and verse two of Psalms David prayed,Let my sentence come forth from your presence” where we read,

Let my sentence come forth from your presence; let your eyes behold the things that are equal.

The verse begins, Let my sentence come forth from your presence; David began with the words, “Let my sentence” which means “allow and permit my, David's, justice, process, procedure and litigation” “come forth” or “appear, break out and be carried out” “from your presence” which means “separate and apart from your, Jehovah God's, face, countenance and favor”. David desired Jehovah God to allow his “justice and litigation” to proceed from His countenance and favor.

The verse continues, let your eyes behold the things that are equal. David added the words, “let your eyes” or “allow and permit your, Jehovah God's, mental and spiritual faculties to” “behold the things that are equal” which means “see, perceive and look upon evenness, uprightness, straightness and equity”. David wanted Jehovah God to look upon “things” that are upright and with equity.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David appealed to Jehovah God to allow His righteousness and justice to prevail in the case he would bring before Him. David “prayed” to God when issues arrived in His life, and He understood that God would not only observe what He had to say, but He would make good and right decisions according to His own character. God loves people, and He desires to be intimately involved in their lives. He gave His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of the world, and anyone who yields to Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life with God. Let us give praise and honor to Jehovah God who not only will be attentive to our prayers, but will also answer them according to good and righteous ways.

Next time David says, You have proved my heart, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
