God's Marvelous Lovingkindness - Psalms 17:7

In Psalms chapter seventeen David prayed to Jehovah God saying, “I have called upon you, for you will hear me, O God: incline your ear unto me, and hear my speech”, and chapter seventeen and verse seven of Psalms David said,Show your marvelous lovingkindness” where we read,

Show your marvelous lovingkindness, O you that save by your right hand them which put their trust in you from those that rise up against them.

The verse begins, Show your marvelous lovingkindness, ... David began with the word, “Show” which means “make distinct, mark out and distinguish” “your marvelous lovingkindness” or “your, Jehovah God's, wonderful and set apart goodness, kindness and faithfulness”. David wanted Jehovah to demonstrate His distinguished goodness and kindness.

The verse goes on to say,... O you that save by your right hand them which put their trust in you from those that rise up against them. David continued with the words, “O you that save” or “O you, Jehovah God, who liberates, delivers and gives victory” “by your right hand” which means “through the use of your, Jehovah God's, right hand of authority and power” “them which put their trust in you” or “the people whether male or female who place, set, fix and establish their belief, confidence, refuge and protection within you, Jehovah God” “from those that rise up against them” which means “apart and separate from the people whether male or female who arise, stand and become powerful in opposition to those who believe in Jehovah”. David appealed to Jehovah to “rescue and deliver” people who have confidence and trust in Him from people who are in opposition to them.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn how David wanted Jehovah God to demonstrate His “lovingkindness”, which is the Old Testament word for “grace”, toward him, and to rescue people who have confidence and trust in Him from people who do not. God loves all people, however, only a few receive His Son Jesus as their personal “Savior and Lord”. God sent Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we submit to Him, He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life. God indeed “shows His lovingkindness” to every person who humbles themselves, turns from their sins and receives His Son Jesus to rule and reign over their own lives.

Next time David says, Keep me as the apple of the eye, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
