Who Shall Abide in the LORD's Tabernacle? - Psalms 15:1

Psalms chapter fifteen begins the with heading, “[[A Psalm of David.]]” which breaks down, “A Psalm” or “a melody or poem set to notes“of David” which means “belonging to David whose name means beloved and was the second king of Israel”, and in Psalms chapter fifteen and verse one David asked, who shall abide in your tabernacle? who shall dwell in your holy hill?” where we read,

LORD, who shall abide in your tabernacle? who shall dwell in your holy hill?

The verse begins, LORD, who shall abide in your tabernacle? David began with the word, “LORD” which means “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “who shall abide” or “what person will dwell, live, sojourn and continue” “in your tabernacle” which means “within your, Jehovah God's, sacred tent, dwelling, home and habitation”? David asked Jehovah God what person would be able to dwell and continue within His habitation.

The verse goes on to say,who shall dwell in your holy hill? David continued with the words, “who shall dwell” or “what person will live, sojourn and continue” “in your holy hill” which means “within your, Jehovah God's, sacred, holy and hallowed mountain”? David asked Jehovah God what person would be able to live and continue within His sacred mountain.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn how David presents questions concerning continuing in Jehovah God's sacred “tabernacle” and “holy hill”. David will answer those questions in our next few verses, but for now, let us consider whether we would be allowed to “dwell” in God's places of dwelling. Nothing qualifies us on our own to live in His sacred places, however, Jesus came into the world to die for our sins and make us righteous so that we can live with Jehovah God forever. This is the miracle of God's love for people. He desires to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness, and when we yield to His Son Jesus as our “Savior and Lord”, He sanctifies us so we can live where He is forever and ever.

Next time David shares about the person who, speaks the truth in his heart, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
