A Chariot with White Horses - Zechariah 6:3

In the book of Zechariah, Zechariah said, “I turned, and lifted up my eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass. In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses, and in chapter six and verse three of Zechariah, Zechariah said, “in the third chariot white horses” where we read,

And in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses.

The verse reads, And in the third chariot white horses; Zechariah began with the words, “in the third chariot” or “and within the third carriage or transport” “white horses” which means “horses that were colored white”. Zechariah shared how the third carriage was drawn by horses that were white in color.

The verse continues, “and in the fourth chariot grisled and bay horses. Zechariah added the words, “and in the fourth chariot” or “and withing the fourth carriage or transport” “grisled” which means “spotted as if with hail” “and bay” or “and strong dappled, piebald or darkened grey colored” “horses” which refers to “swift horses”. Zechariah shared how the fourth carriage was drawn by horses that were darkened and spotted grey color.

When we meditate upon Zechariah's words in this verse, we discover more about the third and fourth carriages with horses that was shown to him. The third carriage was drawn by white horses, and the fourth by dappled or spotted grey colored horses. God had His plan for these spiritual entities, and we shall see how He used them in our next few verses. For now let us keep in mind that God is a God of purpose and order, and His moves both physically and spiritually over Israel and us are intentional and with loving care. His desire is to have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus who was sent to the earth to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us understanding concerning His spiritual moves according to His will and desire for us.

Next time Zechariah asks, “what are these, my lord?”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
