Delivered Out of Trouble Proverbs 11:8

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “When a wicked man dies, his expectation shall perish: and the hope of unjust men perishes”, and in chapter eleven and verse eight of Proverbs Solomon said, “the righteous is delivered out of trouble” where we read,

The righteous is delivered out of trouble, and the wicked comes in his stead.

The verse begins, The righteous is delivered out of trouble, ... Solomon began with the words, “the righteous” or “the person who is right, just, correct and lawful” is delivered which means “exists as liberated, freed, rescued and saved” “out of trouble” or “from straits, distress, adversity, anguish and tribulation”. Solomon shared how people who act in right, just and lawful ways are rescued from vexation and anguish.

The verse goes on to say, “... and the wicked comes in his stead.” Solomon continued with the words, “and the wicked” or “and the criminal, guilty of crimes, evil and hostile to God” “comes in his stead” which means “goes in, enters. is lead in and enumerated with trouble instead of the righteous person”. Solomon said people who are evil and hostile to God experience the “trouble” from which the “righteous” people are liberated.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how Jehovah God rescues people from “troubles and difficulties” who are obedient to His law, however, people who are evil and obstinate to God's law are delivered over to the anguish from which the “righteous” are freed. God knows when we go through trials, and He is aware that they are part of this life. (See John 16:33) He wants a personal relationship with us so when we go through tribulations, He will deliver us according to His Divine plan and purpose. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to suffer and die for the sins of the entire human race, and when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and save us from trials and tribulations that shall be left to those who refuse and reject His invitation to come to Him.

Next time Solomon says, “a hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
