The Passing Whirlwind - Proverbs 10:25

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted”, and in chapter ten and verse twenty-five of Proverbs Solomon said, “as the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more” where we read,

As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.

The verse begins, “As the whirlwind passes, so is the wicked no more: Solomon began with the words, “as the whirlwind passes” or “similar and in likeness to the overflowing storm-wind crossing, traversing and advancing through”, so is the wicked which means “also and indeed exists the people who are criminal, guilty of crimes, evil and hostile to God” “no more” or “as nothing, naught and without”. Solomon shared how people who are evil and hostile to God blow away like an overflowing storm-wind.

The verse continues, “but the righteous is an everlasting foundation.” Solomon added the words, “but the righteous” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover people who are just, right, lawful and correct” “is an everlasting foundation” which means “exists for long duration, unto futurity, forever, perpetually and evermore”. Solomon said people who are lawful and right exist for long duration and perpetually.

When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how the time for evil and unlawful people upon the earth is short, however, people who are correct and lawful according to Jehovah God's manner of living shall remain eternally. God loves us, and He wants to live with us forever. He offers forgiveness of sins and eternal life with Him when we surrender our lives to His Son Jesus who died on the cross for us. Let all who read these words give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God for providing everlasting life to us who would otherwise pass away like storm-winds and exist no more with God.

Next time Solomon shares about, “vinegar to the teeth, and … smoke to the eyes”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
