Satisfied with Good - Proverbs 12:14

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “the wicked is snared by the transgression of his lips: but the just shall come out of trouble”, and in chapter twelve and verse fourteen of Proverbs Solomon said, “a man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth” where we read,

A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth:

and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.

The verse begins, A man shall be satisfied with good by the fruit of his mouth: Solomon began with the words, “a man shall be satisfied with good” or “a person whether male or female will be sated, satiated, fulfilled and surfeited by the means of pleasantness, agreeableness, excellence and rich value” “by the fruit” which means “through the means of the offspring, bough and produce” “of his mouth” or “pertaining to his, the person's, orifice in the face used for eating, drinking and speaking”. Solomon shared how a person is filled with pleasantness and excellence through the means of the produce of their “mouth”.

The verse goes on to say, “and the recompense of a man's hands shall be rendered unto him.” Solomon continued with the words, “but the recompense” or “and the benefit, desert and reward” “of a man's hands” which means “belonging to a person whether male or female's physical hands” “shall be rendered unto him” or “will be returned, brought back, refreshed and restored to the person”. Solomon said the working of a person's physical “hands” will cause benefit and reward to be returned and restored unto him.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how a person may receive pleasantness and reward with their “mouth” and “hands”. When we use our “mouth and hands” according to Jehovah God's standards and ways, we shall be fulfilled and blessed by them. God loves us, and He wants us to relate to Him every day. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us the value of using our speech and industry in a rewarding and fulfilling manner.

Next time Solomon says, “the way of a fool is right in his own eyes”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
