In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “They that are of a froward heart are abomination to the LORD: but such as are upright in their way are his delight”, and in chapter eleven and verse twenty-one of Proverbs Solomon said, “the wicked shall not be unpunished” where we read,
Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished:
but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.
The verse begins, “Though hand join in hand, the wicked shall not be unpunished:” Solomon began with the words, “though hand join in hand” or “even if or in case physical hand within physical hand”, “the wicked” which means “the people who are criminal, guilty of crimes, evil and hostile to God” “shall not be unpunished” or “will in no way or manner be without existing as cleaned out, purged, and exempt from punishment”. Solomon shared how people who are criminal and hostile to God shall in no manner avoid being punished even if they unite together against Him.
The verse continues, “but the seed of the righteous shall be delivered.” Solomon added the words, “but the seed” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover the offspring, descendants, posterity and children” “of the righteous” which means “belonging to the right, just, correct and lawful” “shall be delivered” or “will exist as preserved, saved and rescued”. Solomon said the offspring and children belonging to people who are just, right and correct will exist as preserved and rescued.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how there is no escaping purging and penalization for people who are evil and hostile to God, and even if they were to join together in unity, they would not be able to avoid God's judgment. However, when people act in a just and right manner, they will be rescued and saved. God loves people, and His desire is to save every person from the penalty of death for their sins. When we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us how to be right and just not only for our benefit, but also for our children and offspring to be blessed as well.
Next time Solomon shares about, “a fair woman … without discretion”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
