In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said Jehovah God, “sent Moses his servant; and Aaron whom he had chosen. They showed his signs among them, and wonders in the land of Ham. He sent darkness, and made it dark; and they rebelled not against his word. He turned their waters into blood, and slew their fish”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse thirty of Psalms the Psalmist shared how, “their land brought forth frogs in abundance” where we read,
Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, in the chambers of their kings.
The verse begins, “Their land brought forth frogs in abundance, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “their land” or “their, Egypt's, territory, region, country and nation” “brought forth frogs” which means “swarmed, multiplied, bred and teemed with swamp marsh-leaders or frogs” “in abundance” or “copiously and in great amounts”. The Psalmist shared how the nation of Egypt was filled with swamp frogs.
The verse goes on to say, “... in the chambers of their kings.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “in the chambers” or “within the rooms, parlors and innermost parts” “of their kings” which means “belonging to their, Egypt's, royal rulers”. The Psalmist shared how the swamp marsh frogs were inside the rooms and parlors of the rulers within Egypt. (See Exodus 8:3-13)
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist referred to the plague of “frogs” that were brought upon land of Egypt. The Pharaoh of Egypt was stubborn, and he would not release the people of Israel even though plague after plague came upon him and his people. God gives people opportunity after opportunity to come to Him, and He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and protect us from the plagues that others encounter who refuse to accept His invitation.
Next time the Psalmist shares how Jehovah God, “spoke, and there came divers sorts of flies, and lice”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
