In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said, “Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse five of Psalms the Psalmist said, “remember his marvelous works” where we read,
Remember his marvelous works that he has done; his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;
The verse begins, “Remember his marvelous works that he has done;” The Psalmist began with the words, “Remember his marvelous works” or “bring to remembrance and call to mind, his, Jehovah God's, wonderful, surpassing and extraordinary acts, deeds and labors” “that he has done” which means “that he, Jehovah God, has performed, fashioned, accomplished and worked”. The Psalmist instructed his readers and listeners to call to mind the wonderful and extraordinary acts and deeds that Jehovah God has performed.
The verse continues, “his wonders, and the judgments of his mouth;” The Psalmist added the words, “his wonders” or “his, Jehovah God's, signs, tokens and miracles”, “and the judgments” which means “and the ordinances, acts of deciding, procedure and litigation” “of his mouth” or “belonging to his, Jehovah God, orifice in the face used for speaking”. The Psalmist encouraged his readers and listeners to also call to mind Jehovah God's miracles, signs, ordinances and procedures that proceed from His “mouth”.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist continued to instruct those listening to and reading his words to call to mind the wonderful acts and deeds Jehovah God has performed and to be reminded of God's miracles and procedures which proceed from His “mouth”. God is wonderful, and He is worthy of our praise. We should constantly be reminded of who God is and what He has done. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and continually remind us of who He is, what He has done and how much He desires to have an intimate relationship with us.
Next time the Psalmist exhorts the, “seed of Abraham” and “the children of Jacob”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
