The Glory of the LORD Shall Endure - Psalms 104:31

In Psalms one hundred four the Psalmist said of Jehovah God, “You hide your face, they are troubled: you take away their breath, they die, and return to their dust. You send forth your spirit, they are created: and you renew the face of the earth”, and in chapter one hundred four and verse thirty-one of Psalms the Psalmist said, “the glory of the LORD shall endure for ever” where we read,

The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works.

The verse begins, The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: The Psalmist began with the words, “the glory of the LORD or “the honor, abundance, riches and splendor belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “shall endure” which means “will come to pass, happen, occur and take place” “for ever” or “for long duration, futurity, everlasting, evermore, perpetually and to continuous and indefinite unending future”. The Psalmist referred to how Jehovah God's splendor and abundance will last perpetually and indefinitely.

The verse goes on to say,the LORD shall rejoice in his works. The Psalmist continued with the words, “the LORD” or “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “shall rejoice” which means “will be cheerful, exult and gladdened” “in his works” or “within his, Jehovah God's, labors, acts and deeds”. The Psalmist said Jehovah would be glad and exulted within His acts and deeds.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see the Psalmist mention how the splendor and honor of Jehovah God will last perpetually, and He is gladdened within His own acts and deeds. God is to be glorified and worshiped by us, and we can join Him in being cheerful concerning His labors. God shows His splendor and deeds to everyone who seeks for them, and His greatest glory and work was to send His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. Whenever we yield ourselves to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and reveal Himself to us as a wonderful Creator God who is worthy to be praised, glorified and worshiped forever.

Next time the Psalmist says, “He looked on the earth, and it trembles”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
