In Psalms one hundred four the Psalmist said of Jehovah God, “He appointed the moon for seasons: the sun knows his going down. You make darkness, and it is night: wherein all the beasts of the forest do creep forth”, and in chapter one hundred four and verse twenty-one of Psalms the Psalmist said, “the young lions roar after their prey” where we read,
The young lions roar after their prey, and seek their meat from God.
The verse begins, “The young lions roar after their prey, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “the young lions roar” or “the youthful lions with a manes rumble and moan mightily” “after their prey” which means “pursuing ”their food, fresh meat and spoil. The Psalmist referred to how youthful lions with manes moan mightily as they pursue their fresh spoil and food.
The verse goes on to say, “... and seek their meat from God.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “and seek their meat” or “and look for, desire, exact and request their, the young lions', food and spoil” “from God” which means “the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”. The Psalmist referred to how the youthful lions with manes search for their food from the Divine judge Jehovah God.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist continued to speak of Jehovah God's creation and provision for the “lions”. He gave them their desire for nourishment, and He gave them the ability to search for their food. God cares for His animals, and He cares for people as well. He desires to have a personal intimate relationship with everyone through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to grow in our knowledge of His provisions for us and all His animals including the “youthful lions”.
Next time the Psalmist says, “The sun arises, they gather themselves together”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
