In Psalms one hundred four the Psalmist said of the seas God created, “There go the ships: there is that leviathan, whom you have made to play therein”, and in chapter one hundred four and verse twenty-seven of Psalms the Psalmist said, “these wait all upon you” where we read,
These wait all upon you; that you may give them their meat in due season.
The verse begins, “These wait all upon you;” The Psalmist began with the words, “these wait all” or “each, every, the whole and everyone of the large aquatic animals hope and have expectation” “upon you” which means “on you, Jehovah God”. The Psalmist said the large aquatic animals have hope in Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “that you may give them their meat in due season.” The Psalmist continued with the words, “that you may give them” or “so you, Jehovah God, might grant, bestow and permit the aquatic animals” “their meat” which means “their, the aquatic animals, food supply and dinner” “in due season” or “at the proper occurrence, occasion and time”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God made provision in a timely manner for the food that the large aquatic animals in the seas consume.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist noted the way the large aquatic animals put their hope in Jehovah God to provide their food at a proper time. God knows when the aquatic animals need to be fed, and He provides for them when they have need. He knows us as well, and He is aware of our need to have a provision of salvation for our eternal salvation. Sin has separated us from a personal relationship with God, and He sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and provide for us “in due season” according to our needs and His will.
Next time the Psalmist says, “that you give them they gather”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
