In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said Jehovah God delivered the people of Israel from Egypt, and He, “remembered his holy promise, and Abraham his servant”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse forty-three of Psalms the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God, “brought forth his people with joy” where we read,
And he brought forth his people with joy, and his chosen with gladness:
The verse begins, “And he brought forth his people with joy, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “and he brought forth his people” or “and he, Jehovah God, caused and lead out his, Jehovah God's, human beings both male and female” “with joy” which means “with gladness, exultation and rejoicing”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God led his people Israel out of Egypt and through the wilderness with rejoicing.
The verse goes on to say, “... and his chosen with gladness:” The Psalmist continued with the words, “and his chosen” or “and his, Jehovah God's, selected and elected ones” “with gladness” which means “with a ringing cry, entreaty, supplication and proclamation of praise”. The Psalmist shared how Jehovah God carried His elected people Israel out of Egypt and through the wilderness with a ringing cry of praise.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist referred to the way Israel responded to leaving Egypt and being led into the wilderness by Jehovah God. They were filled with exultation and rejoicing, and God's “chosen” ones were praising Him as they traveled. God wants people to have this type of personal relationship with Him. “Egypt” is a type of “sin” in the Bible, and God wants us to be delivered from “sin” in our lives because it separates us from a personal relationship with Him. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind when we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and lead us with rejoicing and praise as we follow Him wherever He directs us to go
Next time the Psalmist shares how Jehovah God, “gave them the lands of the heathen”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
