Who Can Utter God's Mighty Acts? - Psalms 106:2

In Psalms one hundred six the Psalmist said, “Praise you the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endures for ever”, and in chapter one hundred six and verse two of Psalms the Psalmist asked, “Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD?” where we read,

Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? who can show forth all his praise?

The verse begins, Who can utter the mighty acts of the LORD? The Psalmist began with the words, “who can utter” or “what person is able to speak, declare and proclaim” “the mighty acts” which means “the strong, brave and victorious works, deeds and labors” “of the LORD” or “belonging to Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”? The Psalmist questioned what person existed that would be able to declare and proclaim the brave and victorious labors and deeds of Jehovah God.

The verse goes on to say,who can show forth all his praise? The Psalmist continued with the words, “who can show forth” or “what person is able to perceive, understand and regard” “all his praise” which means “each, every and the whole song, hymn, adoration, fame and glory belonging to Jehovah God”? The Psalmist asked what person is able to perceive and understand the total of Jehovah God's glory, adoration and fame.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist questioned the ability of anyone to fully declare the powerful works of Jehovah God, and he wondered what person would be able to perceive and understand “all” of the honor, glory, fame and thanksgiving that He deserves. The implication is that no one is able. All of mankind together would be unable to proclaim God's activities, and no one is able to fully perceive and understand each and every one of the adorations and worship that He is due. God loves people, and His desire, as great as He is, is to have a personal intimate relationship with everyone through His Son Jesus who died on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to give Him honor, praise and thanksgiving throughout eternity.

Next time Psalmist says, “Blessed are they that keep judgment”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
