Watering the Hills from His Chamber - Psalms 104:13

In Psalms one hundred four the Psalmist said of the deep waters of the earth that Jehovah God, “set a bound that they may not pass over; that they turn not again to cover the earth. They give drink to every beast of the field: the wild asses quench their thirst. By them shall the fowls of the heaven have their habitation, which sing among the branches”, and in chapter one hundred four and verse thirteen of Psalms the Psalmist said of Jehovah God, “He waters the hills from his chambers” where we read,

He waters the hills from his chambers: the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works.

The verse begins, He waters the hills from his chambers: The Psalmist began with the words, “He waters the hills” or “ He, Jehovah God, irrigates and gives drink to the risings above the plain or mountains” “from his chambers” which means “from his, Jehovah God's, roof-room, loft or parlor”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God irrigates the risings above the plain from His loft or parlor.

The verse goes on to say,the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your works. The Psalmist continued with the words, “the earth” or “the land, ground, country, territory, region or world” “is satisfied” which means “exists as sated, fulfilled and surfeited” “with the fruit” or “by the use of produce, bough and reward” “of your works” which means “pertaining to your, Jehovah God's, labors, acts and deeds”. The Psalmist said the world is sated and fulfilled by the produce and reward of Jehovah God's acts and deeds.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist referred to the way the Jehovah God sends out or controls the “waters” from His loft, and the entire world is fulfilled with the produce of His acts and deeds. God's marvelous acts are everywhere, and we only need to take the time to observe them. God wants us to know Him, (See John 17:3) and when we realize He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins, we can receive Him into our lives, gain His forgiveness and be granted everlasting life with Him forever. Let us give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus who “waters the hills, satisfies the earth with His works and brings salvation to all mankind”.

Next time the Psalmist says of Jehovah God, “He causes the grass to grow for the cattle”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
