No Man Allowed to Do Israel Wrong - Psalms 105:14

In Psalms one hundred five the Psalmist said Jehovah God told Jacob or Israel, “Unto you will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance. When they were but a few men in number; yes, very few, and strangers in it. When they went from one nation to another, from one kingdom to another people”, and in chapter one hundred five and verse fourteen of Psalms the Psalmist shared how Jehovah God, “suffered no man to do them wrong” where we read,

He suffered no man to do them wrong: yes, he reproved kings for their sakes;

The verse begins, He suffered no man to do them wrong: The Psalmist began with the words, “he suffered no man” or “He, Jehovah God, let, permitted and allowed not one person whether male or female” “to do them wrong” which means “to violate, oppress, extort or crush them, the people of Israel”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God did not allow anyone to violate and oppress the people of Israel.

The verse goes on to say,yes, he reproved kings for their sakes; The Psalmist continued with the words, “yes, he reproved kings” or “even so and indeed, he, Jehovah God, judged, corrected and convicted royal rulers” “for their sakes” which means “on behalf of their, the people of Israel's, cause and reason”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God corrected and adjudged royal rulers on behalf of Israel.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist shared that Jehovah God was the protector of Israel while they entered the “land of Canaan”. No people group or royal ruler was able to defeat Israel because God was their defense. God wants to be the provider and protector of every person, and when we realize that He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins, we have the opportunity to believe and trust in Him for His forgiveness and promise of everlasting life with Him in Heaven. He becomes our “LORD” and provides and protects us against those who would do us harm.

Next time the Psalmist shares how Jehovah God says, “touch not my anointed”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
