In Psalms one hundred eleven the Psalmist speaking of Jehovah God said, “The works of his hands are verity and judgment; all his commandments are sure”, and in chapter one hundred eleven and verse eight of Psalms the Psalmist said the works of Jehovah God, “stand fast for ever and ever” where we read,
They stand fast for ever and ever, and are done in truth and uprightness.
The verse begins, “They stand fast for ever and ever, ...” The Psalmist began with the words, “they stand fast” or “they, the works and commandments of Jehovah God support, uphold, sustain and revive” “for ever and ever” which means “for long duration, unto futurity, perpetually, everlasting and always”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's works and commandments shall be supported and upheld perpetually.
The verse continues, “... and are done in truth and uprightness.” The Psalmist added the words, “and are done in truth” or “and exist as fashioned, accomplished and produced within firmness, faithfulness, sureness, reliability, stability and continuance” “and uprightness” which means “and correctness and that which is pleasing, fitting, proper and righteous”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's works and commandments are performed and produced in sureness, reliability, continuance and in a proper manner.
When we think through the Psalmist's words in this verse, we see how the acts, deeds and commandments of Jehovah God are everlasting, and they are produced in faithfulness, sureness and in a righteous manner. God is love, and His sent His Son Jesus into the world to demonstrate Himself as “the way, the truth and the life”. (See John 14:6) He died on the cross for our sins, and when we believe and trust in Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to enjoy His commandments and works for all eternity. Let us give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus for their provision for mankind that is “done in truth and uprightness” and shall last forever.
