In Psalms one hundred nine David said speaking of his enemies, “Let his days be few; and let another take his office. Let his children be fatherless, and his wife a widow”, and in chapter one hundred nine and verse ten of Psalms David said, “let his children be continually vagabonds” where we read,
Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg:
let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.
The verse begins, “Let his children be continually vagabonds, and beg:” David began with the words, “let his children” or “allow and permit his, the adversary of David's, progeny and offspring” “be continually vagabonds” which means “exist as constantly tossed about, quivering, vibrating, staggering and trembling”, “and beg” or “and asking, borrowing, inquiring, seeking and practicing beggary”. David wanted Jehovah God to cause his enemy's offspring to be constantly staggering, vibrating and begging.
The verse continues, “let them seek their bread also out of their desolate places.” David added the words, “let them seek their bread” or “allow and permit the offspring and progeny of David's enemy to resort to, frequent, require and demand their, the offspring's, food or meal” “also out of their desolate places” which means “even so and indeed from their, David's enemy's offspring's, waste, ruin and decayed locations”. David wanted Jehovah God to allow his enemy's offspring to search for their food from waste, ruin and decayed locations.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David wanted Jehovah God to keep adding to the difficulties of the offspring of his enemy. He wanted his enemy's children to be wanderers and beggars, and he wanted them to have to seek for their food in waste places. We can see how David was extremely upset with his enemy, and because he knew Jehovah God was the best place to carry his troubles, God would indeed deal with them according to His perfect plan and will. God loves people, and He does not desire that any man should perish. (See 2 Peter 3:9) He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and assure us that He will take care of our enemies and their offspring as He sees best.
Next time David says, “let the extortioner catch all that he has”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
