In Psalms one hundred eight David said to Jehovah God, “Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man”, and in chapter one hundred eight and verse thirteen of Psalms David said, “through God we shall do valiantly” where we read,
Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.
The verse begins, “Through God we shall do valiantly:” David began with the words, “through God” or “by way of the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “we shall do valiantly” which means “we, David and the people of Israel, will fashion, accomplish and produce acts and deeds with strength, might, efficiency, ability and force”. David said with Jehovah God's aid and assistance he and the people of Israel would produce and accomplish things in a strong and mighty way.
The verse continues, “for he it is that shall tread down our enemies.” David added the words, “for he it is” or “because, since and on account that he, Jehovah God, exists as the One” “that shall tread down” which means “who will reject, trample and desecrate” “our enemies” or “our, David and the people of Israel's, hating foes and adversaries”. David said Jehovah God would trample and desecrate his and the people of Israel's hating foes and adversaries.
When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David declared his and the people of Israel's victory when Jehovah God came to their aid. David knew God would trample their hating foes, and this assured him that God was the answer for their lives. David factored Jehovah God into his situation against his “enemies”, and when God was with them, the people of Israel and David had no need to be concerned. God wants to be in a personal relationship with all of us, and when we yield our lives to His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins, we will be forgiven for our sins, granted everlasting life and given the assurance that He is easily able to conquer our hating adversaries when they rise against us.
Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Hold not your peace, O God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
