Mercy Above the Heavens - Psalms 108:4

In Psalms one hundred eight David said, “I will praise you, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto you among the nations”, and in chapter one hundred eight and verse four of Psalms David said Jehovah God's, “mercy is great above the heavens” where we read,

For your mercy is great above the heavens: and your truth reaches unto the clouds.

The verse begins, For your mercy is great above the heavens: David began with the words, “for your mercy” or “because, since and on account that your, Jehovah God's, goodness, kindness and faithfulness” “is great” which means “exists as distinguished, mighty, noble and exceedingly important” “above the heavens” or “higher than the visible sky, atmosphere and abode of the stars”. David said Jehovah God's goodness, kindness and faithfulness exists as distinguished and exceedingly important and is higher than the visible sky and atmosphere.

The verse goes on to say, “and your truth reaches unto the clouds.” David continued with the words, “and your truth” or “and your, Jehovah God's, firmness, faithfulness, sureness, reliability and continuance” “reaches unto the clouds” which means “stretches toward the vapor, firmament and small dust within the sky”. David said Jehovah God's sureness and reliability stretched toward the vapor or dust within the sky.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how David declared Jehovah God's goodness, kindness and faithfulness to be higher than the visible sky and atmosphere, and His sureness stretches out toward the vapor and firmament within the sky. In other words, Jehovah God's goodness, kindness and validity exists everywhere. God loves people, and His desire is to pour our His kindness, goodness and favor upon everyone who will yield to His Son Jesus as their “Savior and Lord”. God sent Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we believe and trust in Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to know Him and His goodness, kindness, and truth that exists far beyond the visible sky and everything that is within it.

Next time David says, “be exalted, O God, above the heavens”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
