In Psalms one hundred nine David said, “Help me, O LORD my God: O save me according to your mercy”, and in chapter one hundred nine and verse twenty-seven of Psalms David said, “that they may know that this is your hand” where we read,
That they may know that this is your hand; that you, LORD, have done it.
The verse begins, “That they may know that this is your hand;” David began with the words, “that they may know” or “so they, David's adversaries, might perceive, see, find out, discern, discriminate, distinguish and recognize” “that this is your hand” which means “that this, the help of Jehovah God for David, exist by your, Jehovah God's, hand of power, might and ability”. David wanted Jehovah God to “help and save” him by His “mercy” so his adversaries would perceive that the work was accomplished by God Himself.
The verse continues, “that you, LORD, have done it.” David added the words, “that you” or “so you, Jehovah God”, “LORD” whose name is “Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “have done it” which means “prepared, performed and executed the “help and salvation” of David”. David wanted God to give him aid and rescue in such a way that his adversaries would understand that God gave him “help and salvation”.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David wanted Jehovah God's “help and salvation” for him to be done in such a manner that his adversaries would know it was God who did the work. God loved David, and He loves us. He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and perform this miracle in our lives so others will know that God is our “help and salvation”.
Next time David says, “let them curse, but bless you”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
