Not Moved Forever - Psalms 112:6

In Psalms one hundred twelve the Psalmist said, “A good man shows favor, and lends: he will guide his affairs with discretion”, and in chapter one hundred twelve and verse six of Psalms the Psalmist said, “surely he shall not be moved for ever” where we read,

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

The verse begins, Surely he shall not be moved for ever:” The Psalmist began with the words, “surely he shall not be moved” or “because, since and consequently he, the good person, will in no way or manner totter, shake, dislodge or be exceedingly out of course” “for ever” which means “for long duration, futurity, everlasting, perpetually and unto perpetuity”. The Psalmist was assured that the “good” person would not in any way be shaken or dislodged eternally.

The verse continues, “the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.” The Psalmist added the words, “the righteous” or “the just, lawful and correct” “shall be in everlasting remembrance” which means “will exist within eternal, perpetual, futurity and continual memorial and commemoration”. The Psalmist said the person who is just and lawful will exist with a continual memorial.

When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist stated that the “good” person would not be shaken or dislodged for all eternity, and the people who are just and correct will be continually in memory. God establishes the people who are “good” and “lawful”, and He helps them to be that way when they surrender to His Son Jesus who was crucified on the cross for the sins of the whole world. When we believe and trust in Jesus as our personal “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and make us stable and remembered for all eternity.

Next time the Psalmist says, “he shall not be afraid of evil tidings”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
