In Psalms one hundred eleven the Psalmist said, “The works of the LORD are great, sought out of all them that have pleasure therein”, and in chapter one hundred eleven and verse three of Psalms the Psalmist said Jehovah God's, “work is honorable and glorious” where we read,
His work is honorable and glorious: and his righteousness endures for ever.
The verse begins, “His work is honorable and glorious:” David began with the words, “His work” or “His, Jehovah God's, acts, deeds and labor” “is honorable” which means “exists as beautiful, comely, excellent, glorious, goodly and majestic” “and glorious” or “and with splendor, ornament, honor and majesty”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's acts and labors exist as beautiful, excellent, majestic and with honor.
The verse goes on to say, “and his righteousness endures for ever.” David continued with the words, “and his righteousness” or “and his, Jehovah God's, justice, truthfulness, justification and salvation” “endures for ever” which means “remains, stands and continues for long duration, unto futurity, everlasting and unto perpetuity”. The Psalmist said Jehovah God's justice, truthfulness and salvation lasts and remains for long duration and unto perpetuity.
When we consider the words in this verse, we see how the Psalmist said the acts and deeds of Jehovah God's beauty and excellence exist as honorable and majestic. His truthfulness and salvation remains throughout eternity. God desires to share these “works” with us, and He wants us to have His righteousness within us. (See 2 Corinthians 5:21) He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for our sins, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and allow us to enjoy His acts, deeds and “righteousness” forever and ever.
Next time the Psalmist says Jehovah God, “has made his wonderful works to be remembered”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
