In Psalms one hundred eight David said, “Awake, psaltery and harp: I myself will awake early”, and in chapter one hundred eight and verse three of Psalms David said, “I will praise you, O LORD, among the people” where we read,
I will praise you, O LORD, among the people: and I will sing praises unto you among the nations.
The verse begins, “I will praise you, O LORD, among the people:” David began with the words, “I will praise you” or “I, David, shall honor, give thanks, laud and confess you, Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God”, “O LORD” which means “O Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God”, “among the people” or “in the midst and middle of the human beings both male and female”. David declared that he would honor and give thanks to Jehovah God in the midst of the “people” who surrounded him.
The verse continues, “and I will sing praises unto you among the nations.” David added the words, “and I will sing praises unto you” or “ and I, David, will make music of adoration, honor and thanks with my voice toward you, Jehovah God” “among the nations” which means “in the midst and middle of the people groups, compatriots, countrymen, kinsmen and kindred”. David said he would make music of adoration, thanks and honor with his voice toward Jehovah God in the midst of the people groups and countrymen in the world.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David determined to give honor and glory to Jehovah God in the midst of “the people”, and he would use his musical voice to honor and glorify Him in the middle of the “kinsmen” of the world. God desires to have an intimate personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus regardless of where they are located, and He sent Jesus into the world to be crucified on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we surrender our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and put a song of praise and honor to God in our hearts that may be sung unto Him in the midst of people forever.
Next time David says Jehovah God's, “mercy is great above the heavens”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
