Your Beloved Delivered - Psalms 108:6

In Psalms one hundred eight David said, “Be you exalted, O God, above the heavens: and your glory above all the earth”, and in chapter one hundred eight and verse six of Psalms David said, “that your beloved may be delivered” where we read,

That your beloved may be delivered: save with your right hand, and answer me.

The verse begins, That your beloved may be delivered: David began with the words, “that your beloved” or “so your, Jehovah God's, amiable and loved one” “may be delivered” which means “might be removed, drawn out, withdrawn and rescued”. David said the result of Jehovah God being exalted would be that His loved one would be withdrawn and rescued.

The verse goes on to say, “save with your right hand, and answer me.” David continued with the words, “save with your right hand” or “ deliver, give victory, avenge and defend by the use of your, Jehovah God's, right hand of power, authority and direction”, “and answer me” which means “and hear, utter tunefully and respond to me, David”. David called upon Jehovah God to rescue and respond to him with His power and might.

When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David knew if Jehovah God was exalted, he would benefit from it. David knew God would “rescue and deliver” him because Jehovah God loved him, and He would deliver, hear and respond to him in his time of need. God loves people, and His desire is have a personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus whom He sent into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield our lives to Him as our “Savior and Lord”, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and “deliver, save and respond to us” as we exalt Him and His glory.

Next time David says, “God has spoken in his holiness”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
