In Psalms chapter fifty six David said, “You tell my wanderings: put you my tears into your bottle: are they not in your book? When I cry unto you, then shall my enemies turn back: this I know; for God is for me”, and in chapter fifty-six and verse ten of Psalms David said, “In God will I praise his word”, where we read,
In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word.
The verse begins, “In God will I praise his word:” David began with the words, “In God” or “within the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “will I praise his word” which means “shall I, David, make a boast, glory and celebrate his, Jehovah God's, speech, utterance, answer and decree”. David said he would boast and glory within Jehovah God's speech, answer and decree.
The verse continues, “in the LORD will I praise his word.” David added the words, “in the LORD” or “within Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “will I praise his word” which means “shall I, David, make a boast, glory and celebrate his, Jehovah God's, speech, utterance, answer and decree”. David added that within Jehovah God he would celebrate His utterance, speech and decree.
When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David offered honor and glory to Jehovah God's “word”. In Psalm One Hundred Thirty Eight and verse two we read, “you have magnified your word above all your name”, and God's “word” is worthy to give Him glory and honor. God always keeps His word, and He promised “salvation” to every person who believes and trusts in His Son Jesus who died on the cross for our sins. When we submit to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and give us the opportunity to appreciate and offer “praise” to Him for His “word” for all eternity.
Next time David said, “In God have I put my trust”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
