In Psalms chapter fifty six David said, “In God will I praise his word: in the LORD will I praise his word”, and in chapter fifty-six and verse eleven of Psalms David said, “In God have I put my trust”, where we read,
In God have I put my trust: I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.
The verse begins, “In God have I put my trust:” David began with the words, “In God” or “within the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “have I put my trust” which means “have I, David, placed, set, fixed and established my, David's, faith, hope and confidence”. David said he placed his confidence within the Divine judge Jehovah God.
The verse goes on to say, “I will not be afraid what man can do unto me.” David continued with the words, “I will not be afraid” or “I, David, shall in no way be terrified” “what man can do unto me” which means “as to that which human beings both male and female are able, capable and have ability to fashion, accomplish and produce upon me, David”. David said he would not have fear about anything a person could do to him.
When we think through the words in this verse, we see how David put his faith and hope in the Divine judge Jehovah God, and this caused him not to have terror nor fear concerning that which a person could do to him. God loves people, and He desires this type of personal relationship with every person through His Son Jesus. Jesus died on the cross for our sins, and when we humble ourselves, turn from our sins and ask Him to come into our lives, and He will forgive our sins and grant us everlasting life with Him. Let us give praise and honor to Jehovah God and His Son Jesus who made a way for us to obtain forgiveness and everlasting life apart from people who would cause us fear and destruction.
Next time David says, “Your vows are upon me, O God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
