My Soul Delivered From Death - Psalms 56:13

In Psalms chapter fifty six David said, “Your vows are upon me, O God: I will render praises unto you”, and in chapter fifty-six and verse thirteen of Psalms David said, “You have delivered my soul from death”, where we read,

For you have delivered my soul from death:

will not you deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?

The verse begins, For you have delivered my soul from death:” David began with the words, “For you have delivered my soul” or “because, since and on account that you, Jehovah God, snatched away, rescued, saved and recovered my, David's, inner man, mind, heart, will, desire and seat of emotions and passions” “from death” which means “separate and apart from ruin, destruction and the place of the non-living”. David said Jehovah God rescued his mind, will and emotions from dying.

The verse goes on to say, will not you deliver my feet from falling, that I may walk before God in the light of the living?” David continued with the words, “will not you deliver” or “shall you, Jehovah God, in no way or manner rescue, save and recover” “my feet from falling” which means “my, David's, physical feet or standing separate and apart from stumbling”, “that I may walk” or “so I, David, might depart, proceed, move and go away” “before God” which means “in front and in the presence of the Divine judge, ruler and Supreme God” “in the light of the living” or “within the day-break, dawn, morning light or lamp belonging to the people who are alive”? David asked whether Jehovah God would not also rescue and save him from continuing to stand and move in the presence of the Divine judge in the morning light which belongs to people who are alive.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we see how David knew it was Jehovah God who rescued and saved him from dying, and this caused him to ask whether God would keep him standing and walking before Him in the dawn of the morning and within God's life giving light. God loves people, and His desire is to have a personal intimate relationship with them through His Son Jesus. Jesus was sent into the world to be crucified on a cross for the sins of all mankind, and anyone who yields their life to Him will be forgiven of their sins and granted everlasting life with God. Let us give praise, honor and glory to Jehovah God for His eternal provision for us not only to continue living in the morning light, but also in the light of His eternity forever.

Next time we begin a new chapter and see David say, “Be merciful unto me, O God”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
