In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “The king's heart is in the hand of the LORD, as the rivers of water: he turns it wherever he will”, and in chapter twenty-one and verse two of Proverbs Solomon said, “every way of a man is right in his own eyes” where we read,
Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:
but the LORD ponder the hearts.
The verse begins, “Every way of a man is right in his own eyes:” Solomon began with the words, “Every way of a man” or “each, the whole, all and everyone of the journeys, paths, manners, road ways and direction belonging to a person whether male or female” “is right” which means “exists as straight, upright, correct, fitting and proper” “in his own eyes”or “within the person's own physical eyes used for vision, sight and mental faculties”. Solomon said every one of the traveled paths of a person exists as fitting and proper within their own sight.
The verse continues, “but the LORD ponder the hearts.” Solomon added the words, “but the LORD” or “however, nonetheless, notwithstanding and moreover Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name for the One True God” “ponders the hearts” which means “regulates, measures, weighs, tests and proves the souls, minds, wills, desires, living being, conscience and seat of emotions and affections”. Solomon said Jehovah God examines and measures the soul, mind and will of people.
When we think through the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how every person believes their path and journey is the correct one, however, Jehovah God tries and measures the soul of people. God wants us to align with His will for us, and this is why He sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind. When we yield to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us to commit our plans and travels to His loving care and direction.
Next time Solomon says, “to do justice and judgment is more acceptable to the LORD”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
