Just Men Walking in Integrity - Proverbs 20:7

In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “most men will proclaim every one his own goodness: but a faithful man who can find?”, and in chapter twenty and verse seven of Proverbs Solomon said, “the just man walks in his integrity” where we read,

The just man walks in his integrity: his children are blessed after him.

The verse begins, The just man walks in his integrity:” Solomon began with the words, “the just man” or “the person whether male or female who is lawful, correct and righteous” “walks in his integrity” which means “ambles about and makes their way in completeness, fullness, innocence and simplicity”. Solomon shared how the person who is lawful and correct lives in fullness, innocence and simplicity.

The verse goes on to say, “his children are blessed after him.” Solomon continued with the words, “his children are blessed” or “the offspring and progeny of his, the person who walks in simplicity and innocence, exist as O how happy” “after him” which means “following behind him, the person who walks in their integrity”. Solomon said the offspring of the person who “walks in” their “integrity” will exist as O how happy as they follow them.

When we meditate upon the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon that righteousness and lawfulness is the evidence of a person who conducts their life in a correct and legal manner, and not only they, but also their “children” will receive a “blessing” as they follow them. God wants us to live righteously before Him, and because we sometimes do not, we have sin in our lives. God sent His Son Jesus to die on the cross for our sins, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and help us live with “integrity” that will be favorable to us and our offspring as well.

Next time Solomon refers to, “a king that sits in the throne of judgment”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.

Until tomorrow…there is more…
