In the book of Proverbs Solomon said, “Divers Weights are an abomination unto the LORD; and a false balance is not good”, and in chapter twenty and verse twenty-four of Proverbs Solomon declared, “man's goings are of the LORD” where we read,
Man's goings are of the LORD; how can a man then understand his own way?
The verse begins, “Man's goings are of the LORD;” Solomon began with the words, “man's goings” or “a person's, whether male or female, steps, train or course of life” “are of the LORD” which means “exists from Jehovah who is the existing One and the proper name of the One True God”. Solomon shared how the course of life of a person exists from Jehovah God.
The verse continues, “how can a man then understand his own way?” Solomon added the words, “how can a man then” or “in what way or manner is a person whether male or female therefore, wherefore and on this account able to” “understand his own way” which means “discern, regard, distinguish the person's own personal traveled road, path and journey”? Solomon questioned in what way a person could regard and distinguish their own personal journey since Jehovah God is over their course of life.
When we consider the words in this verse, we learn through Solomon how Almighty God governs over the lives of people, and even when they make their plans, He decides what the eventual outcome will be. God loves us, and no one, not even our own selves, “understands” their ways better than Him. God sent His Son Jesus into the world to die on the cross for the sins of all mankind, and when we yield our lives to Him, He will forgive our sins, grant us everlasting life and teach us to rely upon Him for His leading and guidance in our journey through life.
Next time Solomon says, “it is a snare to the man who devours that which is holy”, so read ahead, and we shall join together then.
Until tomorrow…there is more…
